Once upon a time, in the land of America, there lived a brave man named George Washington. He was born on February 22, 1732. George loved adventure and dreamed of a free country.

When the American colonies wanted independence from Britain, George stepped up. He became the leader of the Continental Army. He trained soldiers and led them into battle. His courage inspired everyone.

After winning the war, people looked to George as a hero. They asked him to be the first president of the United States. He agreed, but only for two terms. He believed in sharing power, not keeping it all for himself.

George Washington helped shape our nation. He set important rules and showed everyone how to be a good leader. Today, we remember him as the "Father of Our Country." Isn't that cool?
